The current implementation of read-only mode for RTF and DOCX files blocks access for other users, which is counterproductive in a collaborative environment. By modifying the read-only mode to allow simultaneous access, users can view and review documents together without interference, improving the workflow. The write mode would continue to restrict access to one user at a time.
This functionality is being incorportated within the main Elixir product and which is the focus of continued developement effort. This specific Idea is therefore redundant.
